at american.com. obama and his liberal allies, we can't afford four more years. >> i'm mitt romney and i approved this message. >> okay. and yesterday while in council bluffs, iowa, vice president joe biden shot back agreeing the obama plan would raise taxes, just not on the middle class. >> on top of the trillion dollars of spending we've already cut, we're going to ask, yes. we're going to ask the wealthy to pay more. my heart breaks. come on. man. you know the phrase you always use, obama and biden want to raise taxes by a trillion dollars. guess what? yes, we do, in one regard. we want to let that trillion-dollar tax cut expire so the middle class doesn't have to bear the burden of all that money going to the super wealthy. that's not a tax raise. that's called fairness where i come from. >> mike, we love him. >> okay. >> i'm just wondering, because i'm not sure, it didn't work for mondale in '84 in san francisco, but should joe biden, our dear friend, be promising a trillion-dollar tax increase? >> well, you know, the sound bite is not going to work. yes, we will raise taxes. >> yes
